Such gorgeous blossoms! another Jacaranda fan here... ...what an amazing tree! xoKate P.s-small lot (only 3 made-so far) of brooches available via here now
Gorgeous! I love Jacaranda's too. We used to live in a part of Sydney that was very hilly and as you drove over the crest of a hill you would just see Jacaranda's in bloom everywhere at this time of year. You've made me realise how much i miss that!
Kate they are divine!!! I have been photographing all the Jacarandas in our town, Herberton QLD , which is famous for the Jacaranda trees as my MIL is going to paint some. I will have to email you some photos :-) I have been going to do some needle felted brooches with the purple snow! PS thanks for the link xx
oh beautiful jacarandas.... I told Jenni this too.... in the far north when Karen and I lived there a few years ago, i saw my first jacaranda and was just BLOWN away that a tree could be so purple!!!!!!!!! I planted a baby but we moved to wellington and its too cold down here for such tropical lovliness!! Beautiful brooches, they're so delicately stitched, well done! XXX
they are sooo lovely and perfectly capture the trees.
Jacaranda was one of two school sports teams (v small school) the other was tallowood.
Our school had its share of jac's and I remember threading the blossoms that had fallen down, onto sticks. I think my favourite part is the purple carpet...
