Coffee, check. Pastry, check. Let the creative crafting love begin....
I woke up the other day in a cranky mood, grumpy about, of all things, my lack of a nice pin cushion-I will confess I was actually using a cork!! So I traced around my fave retro apple shaped dish to make a template to produce this apple shaped felt pin cushion-took about 10 minutes, including machine sewing, stuffing and hand stitching. I think this would make a good simple project for a little one and it could even be Snow Whites apple...
Also sewing birds...no plan or use in mind yet, sometimes I simply have an idea and see where it will go...any ideas out there for what to do with very small stitched birds?

Cute little bird and love the apple pincushion.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the lovely comments!
Good for you!! I love your bird...maybe another pin cushion!! :)
That apple's great, bet your wondering why you waited so long to make yourself a pin cushion now! As for the little bird, maybe stitch it to something bigger for a decoration, or add it to a patchwork something or other??
I second the coffee and pastry. Creativity is near impossible without such things!
Sometimes I find the most functional of projects the most satisfying. Need it, make it, got it! Well done...
The apple pin cushion is really sweet! I love the bird embroidery - you could just frame it?
Just noticing you are a Tim Burton fan too - he IS fabulous, isn't he :)
So beautiful work!
What about stitching the birds onto hankies or on children's clothes? Thanks for visiting my blog today!
very sweet birdie...
maybe on a cushion?
If you could find some baby frames, they'd make great baby artworks!
